Social media activist VeryDarkMan, popularly known as VDM, has mocked Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile over his latest album and wedding, as speculation grows about a possible rift between the two.
VDM made the remarks in a social media post, questioning the attention generated by both events and suggesting that the rapper’s promotional efforts had not delivered the expected results.
VDM Questions Album and Wedding Publicity
In his post, the activist claimed that Zlatan’s wedding had been used to promote his album but argued that neither event generated the level of attention he expected.
He also criticised the online engagement surrounding the wedding, claiming that blog posts about the event did not attract significant comments.
VDM further said he would be disappointed if Zlatan’s latest song failed to remain at number one on Apple Music for a full month.
Song Lyric Fuels Rift Speculation
The exchange comes amid speculation among listeners that Zlatan may have made a reference to VDM in a song featuring Peruzzi and Shoday.
In the track, Zlatan raps, “I no be Vincent, I no fit masturbate.” Some listeners have linked the lyric to VDM, whose first name is Vincent.
However, the interpretation remains speculation, and the lyric alone does not confirm that the rapper was referring to the activist.
Neither the reported lyrical reference nor VDM’s latest comments independently establish the nature of their relationship, leaving questions about a possible disagreement unresolved.
