8 advertising slots
VYPA sells these to local advertisers, and this is the time you earn on. An advertiser buys a slot on your screen for the days they book, not the whole screen.
How VYPA works
VYPA is digital signage software, a free way for venues to earn from their screens, and a place for local businesses to advertise. The same screens run all three. Here is how each part works, and how they feed each other.
The network explained
Every screen on VYPA runs the same software. What changes is who is using it and why. Most people start in one role and add another later.
A shop, clinic, gym or church puts its own content on the TV it already owns: menus, prices, service times and notices. It pays from CA$10 per screen per month, after a 30-day free trial.
Any venue with a screen can join VYPA Host for free. Part of the screen's time is sold to local advertisers, and the venue keeps 70% of the net ad revenue after processing fees.
Advertisers pick screens on a map, choose their days and pay from CA$3 per day, or ₦500 per day in Nigeria. Their ad plays in the places their customers already wait.
Then the loop turns. Every new screen is one more place to advertise. Every new booking is more money for the venue that hosts it. That is how a screen on VYPA can pay for itself.
You do not need all three. A dental office can run VYPA Signage and never show an ad. A brand can advertise without owning a screen. The roles share one platform, so moving between them takes a few clicks, not a new supplier. Pick the part that fits you:
If you run screens
Cloud digital signage for the screens you already have. Upload your content once, schedule it, and change it from anywhere.
Sign up at app.vypa.co. The 30-day free trial covers one screen, and you do not need a card.
Put the VYPA Player on your TV or device, then enter the pairing code it shows into your dashboard.
Upload images, video or PDF files, or show a web page. Put them in a playlist and pick a layout.
Choose what plays when, and on which screens. Changes reach every screen from one dashboard.
The player stores your content, so the screen keeps playing if the internet drops and picks up your changes when it reconnects. The player setup guide walks through each device, and VYPA Signage covers every feature.
Players
VYPA runs as an app on the TV or streaming device you own. You do not need special hardware to start.
The VYPA Player is now in the Samsung Smart TV app store. Install it straight on the TV.
Get the player from the Amazon Appstore on a Fire TV stick or a Fire TV.
Install it from Google Play on Android TV boxes, Google TV and other Android devices.
A small, low-cost player that sits behind any screen with an HDMI port.
Open the player in a browser on any computer that is connected to a screen.
LG, VIDAA (Hisense) and Roku players are on the way. Until then, a Fire TV stick or a Raspberry Pi will do the job.
What you can show: images, video, PDF documents and web pages, arranged in playlists, schedules and layouts. PDF is the one document type, so export slides and price lists to PDF before you upload them.
If you have a screen and foot traffic
Hosting is free to join. VYPA sells ad time on your screen to local businesses, and you keep 70% of the net ad revenue after processing fees.
Create a host account and tell us about your venue: where it is, what kind of place it is and when you are open.
Install the VYPA Player on your screen. The same players listed above work for hosting.
Advertisers find your screen on the map and book it by the day. Their ads play in the slots set aside for advertising.
You earn 70% of net ad revenue after processing fees. Payouts go out automatically every month, or on request.
Joining costs nothing. There is no fee to list your screen, and part of its time always stays yours. How hosting works
Sharing a screen
Every screen that hosts ads runs twelve slots in its loop. Eight are for advertising. Four stay yours.
VYPA sells these to local advertisers, and this is the time you earn on. An advertiser buys a slot on your screen for the days they book, not the whole screen.
Use them for your own promotions, your menu, your opening hours or anything else you like. Hosting does not take your screen away from you.
If an ad does not suit your venue, tell us. We review it and, where it is right to, remove or replace it. What you earn depends on how many of the eight slots are booked, so treat a fully booked screen as the ceiling, not a promise. See what hosts earn.
If you want to be seen locally
Self-serve screen advertising for local businesses. Book real screens by the day, from CA$3 per day, or ₦500 per day in Nigeria.
Sign up, then upload your own ad or design one in the platform.
Find screens near your customers and choose them by location and venue type.
Book the days you want. Closed days are not charged, and your rate is locked when you pay.
Your ad goes live on the screens you chose, and you get proof that it played.
A campaign adds up simply: screens × days × daily rate. You can price five screens for a week before you commit a dollar. Read more on VYPA Advertise and in advertising prices.
Proof and payouts
A screen network only works if advertisers can see their ads ran, and venues get paid for running them.
Advertisers get evidence that their ad ran on the screens they booked. Proof and measurement explains what is recorded.
Hosts keep 70% of net ad revenue after processing fees. Payouts go out automatically every month, or on request.
The platform runs at 99.9% uptime. If a venue's internet drops, the player keeps playing the content it has stored.
Large format too. Out of Home billboards are live in Nigeria, billed in naira, with an ARCON certificate step for Nigerian advertisers. Large format in Canada is coming soon. Out of Home
