Nigerian comedian and actor Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has apologised to fans after a scheduled performance in Cardiff, Wales, was disrupted by unresolved payment commitments.
The show, part of his “AY Live: Single and Not Searching” UK tour, was scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026. AY said he and other comedians travelled to the venue and gained entry but were unable to perform before most of the audience left.
Comedian Addresses Fans
In a statement shared on social media, AY apologised for the disruption and acknowledged that ticket holders deserved better organisation and timely communication.
He said unresolved payment issues delayed the performers' appearance and urged fans to consider his explanation of what happened.
Refunds and Remaining Tour Dates
AY called on the event organisers and UK tour management to provide a clear resolution for affected ticket holders, including information about refunds. At the time of the report, the organisers had not publicly announced a final refund arrangement.
AY said the remaining tour dates were still scheduled to proceed, including performances in Birmingham, London and Manchester. Fans are advised to follow verified updates from the organisers and the comedian regarding any changes.
